Candace Cogswell, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Deidre Lawrence, LPC-S
I provide counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we will identify your goals, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies to help you navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and deserves the opportunity to choose the path that is right for them. Whether you're struggling with difficult emotions, relationship challenges, stress, or feeling stuck, I strive to meet you where you are and support you at a pace that feels comfortable.
My therapeutic approach is individualized to meet the unique needs of each client. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also integrating techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. These evidence-based approaches help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and create lasting, meaningful change.
